Biography of Ms. Jofelyn Parista

                   A precious day to rememeber, November 29, 1999, Jofelyn Parista was born peacefully, given a nickname as Pelen at Gaswiling, Kapangan, Benguet, a wild place and considered as the ’’Land of beauties’’. According to her mother, her father was imprisoned when she was twelve days old that pushed her mother to work abroad for their family. She has an older sister and three step brothers from their mother’s side. Since their mother left, her grandmother alone raised them. Her caring grandmother was the most influential person to her because aside from financial support, she gave them love a parent could give.

                At a very young age, she became strong just like a bamboo crashed by a strong wind despite of the things and sad history she’s making, both of her biological parents parted ways and already started differents lives with each new families. In this case, she has the greatest fear of facing her father if the day comes. On the lighter side, she is still doing her best in her studies since the most important to her now is education, and her grandmother who stand as their sole parent since then. The thing she loved about her grandmother are her jokes and loves to travel and trips. She usually expresses her love to her through hugs.

                She is described as friendly. She also strive her best in her studies finishing her elementary at Upper Tumapoc Elementary School and High School at Upper Tumapoc National High School, Burgos La Union. During her school days, she considered Mathematics and Science as her most loved subjects and volleyball as her sport. She had honors from grade 7 to 10 considering this as her accomplishment she was most proud of. She loves watching movies like ‘’Harry Potter’’ because of the lessons she learned and the enjoyment it brings. She’s also interested in swimming and watching as she considered these as her hobbies. Teachers she can never forget because of having been influential to her as a student were Jay-ar Mario Mariano and Lita Dumaguing, who were the reasons why she loved Mathematics and Science.

                As a normal young child, she was afraid of darkness. She also considers household chores as her main responsibility at home. To be a teen, it can’t be denied that she also had her band idol,  Westlife. She fits at qualities like being kind, friendly and honest but she’s also impatient, frank, and lazy. Because of being friendly, she make friendship goals with her true friends, Andrea, Monica, Eden, Joyce, Wennie, Venus, and some others. Aside from friends, she also treasures Rex Camid, her first love. She’s lucky that she did not experienced being broken hearted but may be, she did broke other’s heart.

                Happiness, she defines this as a feeling being with her family and love ones and creating happy memories with each other. She had her most memorable travel experience at Pugad, La Union together with her family. She thought that what people will remember of her is her own story itself, the memories she made with them.

                If someone may come to her asking if what’s the most important things for living a good life is enjoyment and doing positive things. She could finally say that she had a successful life if she achieves her dreams and her family will be completed.

                Believing in the saying ‘’If others can, why can’t I’’ she’s competitive, optimistic and having a positive outlook in life, and always says ‘’Never give up’’.
